SonicMan: DNA Shearing

Next Generation Sequencing

* In four hours, SonicMan can shear 96 samples as low as 50 base pairs.

* Fragments centered around a desired length can be repeatedly generated.

* Sample volumes 25uL to 1.5mL per well, 96 well and 384 well plate formats.

* Unlike enzyme based digestion, random fragments are generated - suitable for the sequencing of large genomes.

* Sonication is a quick and simple process compared with hydrodynamic shearing.

* No specialized reagents are needed.

Matrical Bioscience's SonicMan, ultrasonic device, has recently been proven to effectively shear in parallel 96 DNA or chromatin samples with low CV's to sizes as low as 50 base pairs in 4 hours.  The newest version of this machine fragments DNA in isothermal conditions via on-line chiller block which allows for the low base peak fragments required for next generation sequencing.   Visit us at one of the following shows to learn more!

NEW SonicMan

The SonicMan is an ultrasonic device designed for shearing DNA samples directly in a microplate.  The newest version of this machine requires chilling of the samples and pin-lids to minimize heating while shearing DNA to the required fragment length.
