SonicMan - breaking the bottleneck of DNA shearing

SonicMan high-throughput sonicator
can shear up to 384 DNA samples to less than 250 base pairs in hours

SonicMan
is a high throughput multi-probe sonication instrument developed by MatriCal, configurable with 96, 384, and 1536-well formats. SonicMan uses disposable pin lids to transfer sonic energy to each individual well and to prevent well-to-well cross contamination.

  • AUTOMATION FRIENDLY - plates or tube racks are placed on a retractable shuttle making it fully automation friendly.
  • HIGH THROUGHPUT - the SonicMan can shear 384 DNA samples to 250 bp in hours
  • EXCELLENT DISTRIBUTION - the random fragments generated are suitable for the sequencing of large genomes (see picture)
  • LOW CONSUMABLE COSTS - bringing the cost per sample down for your laboratory, with no specialised reagents required.
  • EASY TO USE - the software is fully user configurable and easy to use

SonicMan can operate standalone or integrated into an automated workstation.
