Some laboratory equipment was designed before integration with laboratory automation was a key function.
The usual problem is no hardware compatibility with laboratory automation robots and no remote control of the instrument control software.
Overlord2 has a number of features that allow robot friendly equipment with no remote control software to be integrated into an automated system. |

We offer end-users custom-configurable automation solutions for the Luminex 100 reader. The Luminex 100 is configured with an XY Platform that can be integrated with a robot, allowing sample microplates to be moved into and out of the reader. This offers the possibility of analyzing thousands of samples with walkaway automation. The use simply loads the system and the leaves the rest to the automation.
The key is to get the plate in to the open instrument tray, start the plate read procedure, wait to the plate read is complete, open the tray, and remove the plate. The system can handle lidded plates. |

automate.it scara The arm uses an innovative Tri-Link arm for extended reach capability to multiple instruments. This allows an assay-development workcell to be created which will automate the sample preparation steps required for the xMAP assay. This is accomplished by combining the Luminex 100 with other microplate devices such as liquid handlers, dispensers, washers, etc. The small footprint make this arm an option for the laboratory. |

Using well designed plate stacks, the system can deliver upto 90 plates to any automated system.The custom-written interface for Firepower works allows the user to view their data in a variety of formats. |
