The automate.it Verticell takes advantage of what most laboratories have (vertical space) and uses less of what they don't have, horizontal bench space.
What is it ?
Instead of a sprawling robot based workcell, the equipment is kept in a compact area, with in a frame which can have environmental control if required. Adjustable shelves allow different laboratory equipment to be placed in a Vertical array, minimizing floor space and maximizing laboratory space usage.
The heart of the machine is a 4-axis cartesian robot offering very high throughput and excellent repeatability. The cross section is a standard size, but the horizontal span can be as below.
