Process Analysis & Automation’s new X-Link™ is an innovative solution for plate transfer within an automated workcell. The design concept was to gain access to the work area of a pipetting instrument without the potential hazard of using a robot arm.

The hardware design of the system allows for a customizable solution to any workcell
X-Link offers several mounting options to allow easy attachment to existing instrument base plates, these include: Hamilton Microlab Duo, Hamilton Microlab STAR and Beckman FX
X-Link has a high accuracy drive train to allow for precise user defined movements
Available in various length tracks depending on user requirement
X-Link shuttle can be optimized to work with any plate type and orientation
The X-Link™ is fully integrated into the OVERLORD software package
Using the OVERLORD package the X-Link™ can be programmed to reach specific locations or simply transfer a plate from one end to the other
Can be horizontally or vertically mounted
RS232 interface, software toolkit available for user integration
Carriage can have one or more plate loading positions
The X-Link™ offers a low-cost plate transport solution ideally suited for compact automated workcells.
