What you need is the automate.it safecel connect system. Instruments that need to be accessed regularly can be mounted on removable benches that are locked in place for the automation system or free for manual operation or instrument servicing.

The advanced version offers mechanical locking of the removable table. Repositioning of the table and locking will allow the robot to access the instrument positions without reteaching. All power and signal cables are reattached after the mechanical lock is completed witch an unobtrusive connector. This docking/undocking self contained table can be used in the workcell or used offline by plugging the services into the wall enabling you to quickly and easily move devices in and out of the workcell.

During normal operation, the removable cart is held in place by an air controlled switch. Operation of this simple switch to the "access position" allows the cart to be removed from the workcell.
