PAA offer a SCARA robot for the laboratory automation market.
What is a SCARA robot?
The automate.it scara robot was designed several years ago for a US based pharmaceutical company. The linked arm allows a very small footprint and the equipment can be placed close to the robot to keep the overall workcell size small. The robot can be supplied in 2 heights, Standard and Extended Z.
This robot has a tilt system built into the base AND the gripper. If the robot hits anything, the force causes the robot the robot to become detached from the magnetic base and the emergency stop is automatically activated.
