The
automate.it scara robot has a choice of fingers for gripping microplates in:
- top grip (over the plate mode)
- side grip (alongside the plate)
- both
The fingers are selected for access of the plates mainly from storage but also from instruments.
Stacked plates (plates piled on top of one another) require a top gripper or dual function gripper.
Racked plates (plates stored on individual shelves) require a side gripper or dual function gripper.
