what is a factory robot ?
A factory robot is a high powered and accurate device for manipulating materials or hardware items. Well known for use in the car industry, factory robots are now being used in pharmaceutical laboratories because of their accuracy and reliability.
paa supply workcells with a number of factory robot options. paa have traditionally supplied Mitsubishi or Staubli robots, but we have used other robots such as the Denso.
Our first choice of factory robots for use in laboratory automation is the Mitsubishi range. Cost effective and reliable, wide access envelope and ease of control, anthropomorphic or scara all make the Mitsubishi an ideal choice.

The Staubli range of robots has been proved in a wide range of high throughput environments. Scara or anthropomorphic versions are available.

paa have use many other factory robots in workcells for our wide customer base. Usually legacy plate manipulators, the power of Overlord3 plus paa's vast systems integration experience means that most existing workcells can be upgraded.
safety & robot enclosures
Robots require an enclosure to protect lab staff. paa supply CE marked workcells compliant with European Safety Directive (January 2010) safety regulations for any automated system. paa offer a range of enclosures from screens for existing automation workstations and workcells to complete automated systems with full barrier or light screen protection.
