3rd party use of Overlord3 drivers   links

Overlord3 SocketSet provides a method for using the extensive Overlord3 driver library available from paa. The simple configuration of Overlord3 SocketSet allows calls from 3rd party software packages (EVOware, etc).

Why pay for the development of new drivers/adapters when Overlord3 SocketSet will give you a library of 270+ drivers that can be incorporated into your existing applications ?

    how it works
Overlord2 process

    calling from 3rd party software

Method 1

  • instead of calling a native command in the 3rd party software protocol (EVOware, etc)
  • call Overlord3 SocketSet instead from the 3rd party software function that allows other software to be executed
  • at run time, this new call will execute Overlord3 SocketSet
  • Overlord3 SocketSet will run the required instrument function

Method 2

  • Use the .NET framework in the 3rd party software to call Overlord3 SocketSet as an object.

    what is required

  • existing control software from a manufacture that allows shelling out via a command line.

    example

An example of how to use Overlord3 SocketSet is to consider control an additional instrument that Tecan EVOware does not support and use Overlord3 SocketSet instead. The example below shows how an Overlord3 SocketSet action is inserted into Tecan EVOware and how this then calls Overlord3 SocketSet at runtime.
