The first stage is to discuss what you wish to achieve and how you wish to achieve it.
Sample preparation or sample analysis
We need to understand what you want to do with your system. How many samples does in need to process and how quickly do they need to be processed,
Instruments
Do you have existing equipment to incorporate into the system, do you know what instruments you wish to use or do you need help with that selection ? There is a pretty good chance we have automated the equipment you want to use, our list of around 200 instruments is available for download.
URS
Once we have determined what we have to do and with which instruments, you can write the User Requirement Specification (URS), with our help in necessary. This document will describe what you want to achieve.
FDS
When we have the URS, we can complete the Functional Design Specification (FDS) document, which will describe in detail what we will supply to you, how it will work and also any details relating to data handling and storage.
FAT
Once we have build the system at our premises, you will want to know it works. In the early stages of the project we will have worked with you to produce the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT or FATs) document. This is a series of tests that are carried out by us for you to witness to ensure we have completed the project as you originally requested. When these tests are completed, the system will be ready to ship to your site.
SAT
When we have delivered, the system is built and installed, you will want to check that system still works. The Site Acceptance Tests (SAT or SATs) document describes the tests that will prove the system still works. |
